Services for Raymond Adams Barker, 34, who died Wednesday, May 14, 1986, of injuries sustained in a logging accident west of Custer, will be Saturday at the Community Lutheran Church in Hill City with the Rev. Larry Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Hill City Cemetery under direction of McColley Funeral Home of Custer.
A memorial has been established.
He was born March 16, 1952, in Rapid City, SD, to Lyle E. and Rebecca (Howey) Barker. He attended Rapid City area schools, and graduated from Rapid City Stevens High School in 1970.
He married Linda Sorenson on February 14, 1982, in Custer. He had worked in the Custer and Hill City areas all of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; and son, Cody L. of Hill City; his parents, of Hill City; one brother, Kenneth of Rapid City; three sisters, Marsha Barnes of Syracuse, UT, Debra Christie of Custer, and Lorinda Talley of Hill City; his grandmother, Dolores Fitzsimonds of Custer; four nieces, and three nephews.
