Jack was the husband of Martha W. Albaugh.
He enlisted for military service on April 30, 1941 and served as a 1ST SGT US ARMY during WORLD WAR II.

JACK P. ALBAUGH, 87, of BARNEGAT LIGHT, formerly of Camp Hill, Pa. and Ambler, Pa., died Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Stafford.
He was born in Philadelphia on March 25, 1918, son of the late Harry A. and Kathryn C. Albaugh and brother of the late Henry Albaugh. He was a graduate of Northeast High School in Philadelphia.
A decorated World War II veteran, he entered the U.S. Army in 1941 as part of the 100th Infantry Division, 397th Regiment, Company B. After entering the Army, he was selected in 1942 to participate in the United States Army War Show. He proudly served our country as a first sergeant in the European campaign, primarily in the Alsace-Lorraine region, where he sustained injuries in battle for which he was awarded the Purple Heart.
Prior to being injured, he received a battlefield commission. He was also the recipient of the Bronze Star for wartime valor and was presented the Medaille de la France Liberee in 1945 by the French government for participation in the liberation of France. He was also the recipient of the Expert Infantry Badge Award in 1944.
Mr. Albaugh enjoyed a 35-year career with the Atlantic Richfield Co. in sales and retired as wholesale marketing manager in 1980. He was past treasurer of the NJ-DEARCO Retiree Group.
Mr. Albaugh was actively involved in his community, coaching Youth and Legion baseball for many years and also served as past treasurer of the Highland Boys Athletic Association, Camp Hill, Pa.
He was also involved in the United Way of Camp Hill, Junior Achievement and the Rotary Club. He was an active member of the 100th Division Infantry Association for 55 years, serving a term as president and many years as the Special Fund chairman.
In retirement, he remained active in the Barnegat Light community. He was a past member of the Barnegat Light Borough Council, a life member of the Barnegat Light Fire Police, and past president of the Barnegat Light Fire Co. He enjoyed all sporting activities, especially baseball and golf. In his retirement, he became an avid golfer and enjoyed his many outings with the St. Francis Men's Group.

Albaugh Jr. and his wife, Jill Chialastri Albaugh of Hatfield, Pa., and Cynthia Albaugh of Barnegat Light; and his grandchildren, Sarah and Cristin Faith, and Matthew and Eric Albaugh.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. Monday until the memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at the Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, 12th Street and Long Beach Boulevard, Ship Bottom. Interment in Barnegat Memorial Cemetery will be private.
