Son of Terry and Corey Cole, brother of Joseph. Devon was an loving son and a good friend. He was an eighth grade student at Weaver Elementary with some very special friends he left behind. Those friends will tell you they knew he was there with them the day they graduated from high school.

Devon Gene Cole, a resident of Merced for 14 years, died Monday in Merced. He was 14.
He was born Nov. 6, 1987, in Merced. He attended Weaver Elementary School. He was a member of the Explorer Group for Riggs Ambulance and was involved in the youth group at Calvary Chapel of Merced.
Survivors include his parents, Terry and Corey Cole of Merced; one brother, Jeff Cole of Merced; grandparents, Sue Harlow of Raymond, Sharon Story of Oregon and Gene and Betty Cole of Susanville.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Evergreen Funeral Chapel. Services will follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the chapel. The Rev. Tom Porter will officiate. Burial will be in Chowchilla District Cemetery.
