Elsie C. DiStefano, formerly of Downingtown
Elsie C. DiStefano, 80, of Wilmington, Del., formerly of Downingtown, died Monday, July 30, 2007, at her residence.
She was the widow of Anthony F. DiStefano, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.
Born in Downingtown, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Elizabeth Talucci Cozzone. She had lived in Wilmington for the last year and previously in Downingtown all of her life.
She was a graduate of Downingtown High School.
Mrs. DiStefano worked as an executive secretary for Gindy Manufacturing for 11 years and as office manager for Dr. J.D. Bradford in Downingtown for 12 years.
She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Downingtown, and the sodality of the church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Antoinette and Roy A. Marconi of Wilmington; sisters, Marie Montella of Glen Mills and Philamena Schneider of Thorndale; sister-in-law, Ann Flood of Denver, Pa.; grandchildren, Michael Marconi, Maria McCall, Lysa Marconi and Breeyannah R. Basara; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 338 Manor Ave., Downingtown.
Elsie's Life Celebration service will be held at the Ralston & Bredickas Funeral Home Ltd., 107 W. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
