Virginia was the daughter of R. S. and Alice Elkins and the wife of John William Chandler. They had 2 daughters, Carolyn Elkins and Judith Ashley . When we were growing up we were friends and I always tried to be there when Carolyn's Mother made Chili. I today still use the receipt she used as close to my memory of hers that I can. I can not remember ever seeing her mad. She also taught school in the Crittenden Co. School system. In fact she had our son in one of her clases.
