Info. from Veneta Thomas Horlacher, Levi Jackson Horlacher and Dora Alice (Rockey) Wichman. Elizabeth was the third child of John and Anna. She grew up on her parents farm, received some education in local schools and became skilled in all things necessary for a successful home. She married John Beck on January 5, 1806 in Northampton County, PA. John was one of the successful young farmers in the area. They resided for some time in Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County and later moved to a farm near Hublersburg, Centre County, PA. They became very well known among the good farmers of the area. They were the parents of twelve children (see John Beck memorial for more information).
