Obit in The Correctionville News, 14 September 1994, page 4: George Edward miller, 81, of Anthon died Sunday, September 4, 1994, at a Sioux City hospital. Services were held Wednesday, September 7, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anthon with Rev. Gerald Zensen officiating. Burial was in Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Anthon. George Edward Miller, son of Arthur and Cecilia Schmitt Miller, was born February 14, 1913, the second of 12 children, in Kimball, SD. He married Anna Lena Eickholt of Anthon, April 16, 1941, in Kimball, South Dakota. They began farming in 1941 in the Pierson-Correctionville areas, then purchased land west of Anthon in the early 1950s. He later started working as a laborer in 1957. He was employed at Westendorf Mfg. Co. in Smithland and Onawa for 17 years. Mrs. Miller died July 28, 1994. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anthon. Survivors include two sons, Roger Miller of Bremerton, Washington, and Donald Miller of Clive, a daughter, Mrs. James (Mary Ann) Anzulovic of Montgomery, Alabama, seven grandchildren, three brothers, Paul and Estella Miller of Custer, South Dakota, Robert Miller of Kimball and Leo Miller of Germany, a sister, Mrs. Lenard (Lillian) Powers of Kimball. He was preceded by four sisters, Gertrude, Lena, Lucille and Mary, and three brothers, Raymond, William and Arthur.
