Oldest child of Joseph Calvin Cavender and Sarah Elizabeth Massay, they had 15 children all together. She married Clarence Knight Norwood on the 9th of October 1898 in Hunt County Texas, and had 9 children. Lola Cleo, Joseph Mack, Sarah Aletha, Robert Wylie, Dennis Francis,Jane Marie, Edwin Bosworth, Catherine Margaret, Juanita Mae. According to several family members, she preferred Alyce instead of Alice. So in her honor I will maintain her name in the manner she preferred.
