Gerald E. Medler "Jerry" born April 24 1933 to Lawrence & Alice (Goodrich) Medler, passed away Tuesday May 23, 2006 at the age of 73. Jerry served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, reaching the rank of Sergeant before his honorable discharge on Jan. 13, 1956. He continued his service in the Army Reserves. He was the former co-owner of "The Tube Caddy" where he sold and repaired televisions. In 1990 he retired from the Lansing Board of Water and Light as Operating Supervisor at the Eckert Power Plant after nearly 40 years. He enjoyed playing golf and bowling and joined several leagues including the BWL leagues. Surviving are his wife Marlene who were married May 10, 1953 and recently celebrated 53 yeas of marriage, 3 children, Pamela Stuparek, Bryan (Peggy) & Dawn (Michael) Haddad, 6 grandchildren Andrea & Alyssa Stuparek, DAneil (Daniel) Cox, Benjamine & Samantha Medler and Sarah Haddad, 2 great grandchildren Jackson & Grace Cox, a sister Betty Jean (Robert) Leadbitter, 3 brothers Lawrence Jr. (Betty), Richard (Patty) & Charles (Carol) numberous loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 10:00am at the Palmer Bush and Jensen Family Funeral HOmes, Delta CHapel, 6020 W. Saginaw.
