ALBUQUERQUE — Mary G. "Porgie" Wingfield, 73, a resident of Albuquerque since 1979, went to be with the Lord and her husband, Tom Wingfield, Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010. She is survived by her only child, Debbie Herrera, and husband, Rojo, of Hawaii; grandchildren, Pattie, of Colorado, David Wingfield, of Hawaii, Will, Chrissie, Michael, Kaliko, Sadie, and Tonie, all of Hawaii; stepgrandchildren, Allison and Derek, of Delaware; foster grandchild, Leina'ala; and her dog, Foxy. Mrs. Wingfield was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Wingfield.
Porgie graduated from Gallup High School and attended Colorado State University. Her husband, Tom, served and retired from the Army. She accompanied her husband to many different posts prior to retiring to Albuquerque.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., at French - University Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Her pallbearer will be Will Otte.
