Mr. Lesley died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 95. He was born Sunday, April 20, 1913 in Culver, Kansas, son of William and Iva Semans Lesley. He married the love of his life, Anita Louise Long, on March 27, 1953 at Morrilton, AR. He was the owner and operator of Lesley's Motor Tune-Up for 22yrs, the best carbeurator man in the county, and was also an independent farmer. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during WWII in the European and North African Theatres. Adelbert lived in Mountain Home since 1955, moving from Chandler, Arizona. He was a member of the Twin Lakes Church of the Nazarene, and was active in church as long as his health allowed. He was the best sort of fellow a person could know, his main goal in life was being a witness for his Lord and Savior.


Survivors: Adelbert Lesley is survived by several nieces and nephews and his adopted children, Henry and Janie Hubbard and family of Mountain Home .

Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita; 2 brothers, Ray and Luther Lesley; and 3 sisters, Marjorie McWherter, Maybell Hook, and Frances Werle.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 2-3 P.M., Friday, March 27 at Good Samaritan Village Chapel.

Funeral: Funeral Services for Mr. Adelbert Quincy Lesley of Mountain Home, AR, will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2009 at Good Samaritan Village Chapel, with Pastor George Petry officiating.

Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or a Charity of Choice.
