"Funeral services are pending for Former El Pasoan
Dies in Washington
Hugh Coldwell, former El Pasoan, died in his home yesterday in Washington, D. C. He was 58. Mr. Coldwell was a member of the Contracts Renegotiation Board of the Government. Always active in the Democratic Party, he had previously served as a member of the Reconstruction Finance Corp. Educated in El Paso public schools, he was the son of the late Judge and Mrs. [Eleanor] William Coldwell, one of El Paso's pioneer families. During World War I he served as captain in the infantry. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lucy Goodrum Coldwell; three brothers, Colbert Coldwell of El Paso, Harold Coldwell of Redbud, I11., Philip Coldwell of San Antonio; and two sisters Mrs. J Arthur Rule and Mrs. William Collins both of El Paso."
