OBITUARY :
RICHARD N. CONRAD, a native of Washington County, died suddenly at his home in Washington, D.C., Monday at 3 p.m.

Born in the Indian Springs District, he was the son of the late G. L. and Mary A. Conrad.

He resided for a number of years in Keedysville and for the past ten years lived in Washington, D.C. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy in the European Theatre and the Marine Corps in the Pacific.

Surviving are: wife, Paulette, a native of France; a son, Andre, Washington, D.C.; sisters, Mrs. Albert Baldwin; Washington, D.C.; Mrs. George Rouzer, Mt. Airy, Md.; Miss Edna R. and Miss E. Maude Conrad, both of Hagerstown; and a brother, Victor P. Conrad, also of Hagerstown.

Funeral services will be held at the Birch Funeral Home, M Street, Washington, D.C., on Thursday at 12:45 p.m. Interment will be made in the Arlington National Cemetery.
