Listed sometimes as Harmon and sometimes as Herman, the following obituary appeared in the Windsor Review:

"DEATH OF HARMON C. BARROW
Death has again invaded our community and suddenly taken from us one of our respected and strong young men. Harmon C. Barrow was suddenly stricken with a sever case of appendicitis and hastened to the Clinton hospital and operated on a 8:45 Wednesday morning of last week. The case was a critical one and he gradually grew worse and finally passed away at 2:45 last Saturday afternoon.
Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist church in Calhoun Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Brame, the pastor, assisted by Rev. H. A. Wood of Windsor, and were witnessed by a large concourse of friends and relatives, crowding the church and aisles and out of doors.
H. C. Barrow was born Nov. 11, 1873, and this next November would have been 49 years of age. He was married first to Miss Edith Beasley, March 6, 1904, and two children were born to this union. He was married again, to Miss Kate Carter Dec. 19, 1912, and two children came to bless this union. Two of his little ones have gone on to join him in the Home of the Soul --.
His is survived by his aged mother, his wife, two children, four brothers, two sisters and a multitude of sorrowing friends and relatives.
The deceased was well known in Windsor and community, as he owned a farm near here and had been employed here and also at Calhoun.
Before he died he made a public confession of his faith in Christ and received the assurance of joy and peace in his soul and was prepared to go. Two of his brothers are ministers of the Gospel.
The sad and sorrowing ones will have the consolation and sympathy of a side circle of friends and neighbors."
