Ben F. Saintabin, Resident Here for 52 years, Dies
Benjamin F. Saintabin, a resident of the Salmon Arm area for 52 years, died in Salmon Arm General hospital on Monday, at the age of 57 years.
Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at two o'clock from the chapel of Bowers Funeral Service. Rev. W. Bell, of Mount Ida United Church, will conduct the services and burial will be in Mount Ida Cemetery.
Mr. Saintabin was born in Aberdeen, Wash., on March 2, 1900. At the age of five years, he came to British Columbia with his parents, who settled in the Tappen area, until about two years ago, when he moved to RR3, highway 97 East. Salmon Arm. Forty years in the logging industry.
Besides his wife Lempe Sophia, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. E. M. Smith, Salmon Arm, three sons; Donald, Elmer and Ralph, all of Calgary; two grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Grace Rotter, Rice, Wash., and Mrs. Josephine Bledsoe, Edenville, Wash.
Predeceased by his father, Thomas Alfred Saintabin.
Burial August 1st, 1957.
