Mrs. Minnie A. Akers, 75, lifetime resident of Nevada and widow of the late Joel B. Akers, former Vernon county clerk, died Tuesday at her home at 615 East Allison street after a long illness.
She is survive[d] by a son, Rhodes, of Nevada; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Roskob of Parsons, Kas., and Mrs. Carrie A. Hunt Myers of Kansas City; four grandsons, Joel B. Akers, Rhodes Earl Akers, James Akers and Joe Roskob; one granddaughter, Josephine Roskob; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, James McGowan of Parsons and Harry D. McGowan of Mattoon, Ill., and one sister, Grace McGowan of Nevada.
Private funeral services will be held at the Ferry Funeral home at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Burial will be at Newton Burial Park.
