A retired research worker for the government, he was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a volunteer for the Meals On Wheels of Murray-Calloway County Senior Citizens.
His wife, Lena Mae Augustine, preceded him in death. He was born March 31, 1921, in Geneva, Ill.
Survivors include a special friend, Mary Linn Christensen, Murray; three stepdaughters; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry Daniel will officiate. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery.
