John C.B. Akers came to the Eliasville section in 1902 from Roanoke, Virginia.

He was a faithful member of the Eliasville Baptist church. His funeral was at the Eliasville Baptist church officiated by Rev. Mantz and Rev. Ellis.

John C. Akers was the younger brother of William Andrew Jackson Akers.

Missouri Vest married John C.B. Akers on 27 November 1884 at Floyd County, Virginia.

John C. Akers 78, resident of Young County for many years, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Jim Price, at Eliasville.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church at Eliasville.

Survived by several sons and daughters.
