George A Payne, aged 56 years, died at his home in South Roanoke, yesterday morning as the result of diabetes. He was a native of Warm Springs and came to Roanoke about ten months ago.
Besides his widow, he is survived by five children: John W Payne, Clifton Forge; Ethel, Elizabeth, Edgar and Guy Payne, of this city; three brothers, R T and J E Payne, Warm Springs; W H Payne, Alderson, W Va, and one sister, Mrs M P Ross, Millboro.
