Raymond R. Elliott, 76, of Coventry, beloved husband of Marie (Boucher) Elliott died Wednesday, (May 4, 2005), at Windham Memorial Hospital. Ray was born May 4, 1929 in Reno, NV, son of the late Leverett and Ruth (Lund) Elliott and was a resident of Coventry for the past 34 years. Ray was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was a self employed handyman for several years. Ray was a member of St. Mary Church in Coventry. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Rockville and was also a member of the American Legion. Besides Ray's wife of 49 years, Marie, Ray is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald Elliott of Stafford Springs, and John and Linda Elliott of New York; three daughters and a son-in-law, Ruth Elliott of Ashford, Darlene Palacios of California, and Carol and Kenneth Gaylord of Andover; a grandson, Marc Elliott of Willington, and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 9, 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 1600 Main St., Coventry. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Coventry. Calling hours will be 10-11 a.m. prior to funeral service at St. Mary Church, Coventry. Memorial contributions may be made in Ray's name to St. Mary Church, 1600 Main St., Coventry, CT 06238. Coventry Funeral home has care of arrangements.
