Funeral services for Mr. J. T. Abbott, 73, of Livingston will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 22, from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home, Livingston, Tennessee with burial in the Miller Cemetery.
Mr. Abbott died on October 19, 2001, at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born March 25, 1928 in Overton County to the late Lakin and Lannie Ruble Abbott. He was a retired cement finisher in the construction business.
He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane McDonald Abbott of Livingston, 5 sons, Bobby Joe Abbott, Larry Gene Abbott, Roger Abbott, and Ricky Glen Abbott, all of Livingston, and Mark Abbott of Rickman, 2 daughters, Elizabeth Ann Ledbetter and Shelia Marie Ledbetter, both of Livingston, brother, Posie Abbott of Livingston, 3 sisters, Rosie Arney, O. V. Morrow, & Eula Adams of Livingston, 18 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews & nieces, Mother-in-Law, Myrtle McDonald.
Pallbearers were Jamie Vaughn, Mike Carr, Jamie Greenwood, Chris Copeland, David Abbott, Steve Ledbetter, Frankie Talley, Ricky Abbott, Roger West, Tony Ledbetter, Jody Abbott, & Jeff McDonald.
