Milton M. Adler 88, of Tucson, died March 6, 2010. Born September 8, 1921 in New York City, to Isidore and Esther Adler. Milt was a graduate of the High School of Commerce in the Bronx, and Ohio State University (a lifelong Buckeye).

He served in the Army Air Corps as a First Lieutenant flying combat missions in B24s during World War II. He was president of Adler Pants Company from 1945 - 1983, consultant to Hertling Industries until his retirement in 1986.

He served as president of the Boys Apparel Manufacturers Association and later as an active volunteer as the voice of the Great Neck Library, the North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY and as a mediator in Nassau County, NY.

He moved to Oro Valley, AZ in 1995 where he continued his volunteer service with the Oro Valley Library, the Citizens Volunteer Assistance Program with the Oro Valley Police Dept and Temple Emanu-El.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Miriam (Harris); daughters, Judy Cohen and Joan (Steve) Shell, both of Columbus, Ohio; son, Ira (Dana) Adler, of Tucson; sister, Muriel Goldberg; and niece, Janet Hornbecker (Seattle); beloved grandchildren, Eileen (David) Quast, Debbie (Juan Pablo) Bedoya, Jules Shell, David (Bernice) Cohen, Adam (Mindy) Cohen, Lauren Cohen, Darcy (James) Warren and Michael Adler; great-grandchildren, Sam, Ashton, Nathan, Kobe, Alex, Danny, Hannah, Kiera, Daniela and Sebastian.

Services will be held Monday, March 8, 2010, at 10am, Temple Emanu-El, 225 N. Country Club Rd, with Rabbi Samuel Cohon officiating. Interment will follow in Sharei Shalom Cemetery.
