Fred, 89, of Mason, MI went to be with our Lord, Sunday. He was born Hugh and Ethel (Williams) Silsby. Fred was a State of MI accountant retiree and an active member of the Mason First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed camping with his family, reading and watching old western movies. Fred was a quiet, gentle, wonderful man that was loved very much and will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Lucile of 53 years; parents; 3 brothers, H.M., Rolph and Hugh Silsby. Surviving are his son, Dan (Tracy) Silsby; granddaughter, Kendra Silsby; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church of Mason, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Hundley officiating. Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or Eaton Community Hospice, The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral, Ball Dunn Chapel.
