Nelle Davis Addington, 92, formally of Slater, loving wife of the late Ted Addington, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Falls Creek Living Center in Marietta. Born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late William Oscar and Martha Hill Davis. Mrs. Addington was a homemaker and a member of Slater Baptist Church. She is survived by her 2 daughters: Rose (Calvin) Cox and Pat (Ray) Land; 2 sisters: Bernadine Davis and Thelma Toungette; a brother: Hillman (Ruby) Davis; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great- great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter: Teddie Garrison; 3 sisters: Alice Jones, Marwilla Perry and Estelle Riley; 2 brothers: Eunice Davis and J.D. Davis. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at The Howze Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at Grand View Memorial Gardens in Travelers Rest. The family will be at the home of the daughter, Rose Cox
