JOSEPH FLOYD BERKHEIMER

Died Wednesday morning a 5 o'clock in a hospital in Pittsburgh, death being due to an automobile accident which occurred about ten days ago.

Mr. Berkheimer was the son of Shannon and Rebecca (Fickes) Berkheimer and was born near Fishertown, Bedford County, twenty-six years ago.

He made his home with a sister in Pittsburgh, where he as employed and where the accident occurred. He was well known in Bedford County and at Fishertown and was highly respected.

He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Leslie, Ross, Russel, Bruce, Ira and Lindon Berkheimer ad Mrs. Sewell Suter of New Paris, Misses Fleta and Emma Berkheimer of Pittsburgh, Miss Elsie Berkheimer of Windber.

The body was brought to New Paris Wednesday evening to the home of his sister, Mrs. Sewell Suter.

The Funeral services will be held at the Reformed Church at Fishertown with interment in the cemetery adjoining the church.



The large funeral of J. Floyd Berkheimer, who met with an automobile accident and died in Pittsburgh and was brought to the home of his sister Mrs. Sewell Suter in New Paris, was held on Saturday afternoon, the funeral leaving from here at 2 o'clock for the Reformed Church at Fishertown.

The many wreaths and boquets of flowers were taken along in two cars.

Rev. Minnie Bassett, minister of the Friends Church, officiated.

Mr. Berkheimer's mother's funeral was held in the same church about a year ago.

A large number of relatives and friends were present. Those from distance were Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Berkheimer and son Glenn an daughter Arlene and Ross, jr., Jack and Miss Patsy Berkheimer of Freemont, O., Mr. and Mrs. Ira Berkheimer of Pittsburgh, Mr. and Mrs. George Hissong and son Carl and Mrs. Charles Hull of Canton, O., and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Yarnold of Windber, Miss Fleta Berkheimer, Lindon Berkheimer, Earl Crissman, Miss Alice Martsolf of Pittsburgh, Miss Emma Berkheimer of Freemont, O., Russel and Miss Elsie Berkheimer and Frank Thompson of Johnstown and others.
