Services for Willie Rushing Walker, of Madison, formerly of St. Joseph, La., are 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday, La. A burial service will be held at 1 p.m. at Rosehill Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Walker, 77, died Feb. 8, 2006, at Hospice Ministries in Jackson. She was born in Brookhaven on Feb. 19, 1928, to Alcus and Ola Rushing.

She lived and raised her family in St. Joe for 40 years where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of St. Joseph. She was a loving wife, mother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ellis Walker; her brothers, L.P. and Orville Rushing; and a sister, Lois Huges.

Survivors are her sons, Keith Walker, of Ferriday, and Myron "Bubba" Walker and his wife, Beverly, of Madison; her grandchildren, Amanda Walker Young and her husband, Shane, of Monterey, La., Clif Brumfield and his wife, Joanna, of Natchez, Stefanie Walker, of Madison, and Michele Walker, of Madison; her sister, Ann Cross and her husband, Jerry, of Huntsville, Ala.; her brother, Fred Rushing, of Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Clif Brumfield, Lee Winters, Ronnie Baker, Donnie Baker, David Bell, Jordan Jones, Kenneth Jones, Brian Cross and Michael Cross.
