BARNHART, David E., 78 of Englewood, passed away Sunday July 23, 2006.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eldon & Grace (nee Murray) Barnhart and a son Steven Barnhart.

David is survived by his loving wife Rose (nee Bales) Barnhart, special & close daughter and her husband Polly & David Petricola, special grand-daughter Ann Petricola; sister Dorothy Lindegren, special niece Betty Lindegren and special pet Rusty, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

David was a 1945 graduate of Wabash Indiana High School, where he held the record for running the mile for over 30 years, he retired from the Dayton Daily News after 31 years, was a US Army Veteran of WW II and US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road.
