General Grant Bragg married Martha F. Summers, daughter of William P. and Anna (Gunn) Summers, on March 25, 1866 in Adair County, Missouri and they had one son, Herman Summers Bragg. General Grant Bragg graduated with a degree of Medicine in 1899 from the Missouri Medical College at St. Louis, Missouri. He practiced his profession at Jacksonville, La Plata, and Huntsville, Missouri.

---Funeral Services for Veteran Physician to Be Held Wednesday
---Dr. General Grant Bragg, 76, veteran Huntsville physician, died at 9 o'clock this morning at his home on North Main street in Huntsville. Dr. Bragg had been in poor health since one leg was amputated 12 years ago and had been bedfast since October 5.
---Dr. Bragg was born in Adair county, the son of Benjamin and Anna Bragg. He practiced medicine in Huntsville for 53 years and for a year and a half prior to that in Jacksonville. He was always active in community affairs and was greatly interested in agriculture, owning and operating several farms.
---He enlisted in service in the first World War, going to Chattanooga Park, Chattanooga, Tenn. for induction and served in the base hospital in Ayers, mass. He first received a lieutenant's commission and later became a Captain. He was a member of both the state and county American Medical Society.
---Dr. Bragg is survived by his wife; a son, Herman Bragg of Huntsville; a brother, Henry Bragg of LaPlata; and three grandchildren.
---Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Huntsville Methodist church by its pastor, the Rev. H. L. Johnson, under auspices of the Theodore Bazan Post of the American Legion. Burial will be in the Huntsville cemetery. Until the funeral hour the body will remain at the Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville.
