Seaborn and Addie had nine children: Mary Louisa, Ellen Cora, Sallie, Joseph Allen, and James A., all born in an area of Henderson County before Transylvania County was formed in 1861. Then John A., Julius Avery, Matilda Harriett (Tilly), and Robert L. were born in Cathey's Creek township of Transylvania County. Addie was living with her daughter Tilly at Dunn's Rock when she died in 1899. Of the nine children, only three remained in the Brevard/Rosman area: Joseph Allen, Ellen Bryson Bryant, and Tilly Bryson Summey.
