Lorenzo Dow Stroud died at the home of the Varners east of the river one day last week. He was an old soldier, a good stone mason, and an honest upright man, honored and respected by all who knew him. He served on the board of alderman of this city and discharged his duties faithfully. His widow and one son survive him. The remains were laid to rest at Lindley Prairie.
Served as a Union Soldier in the Civil War.
