PALM COAST, Fla. —

A funeral Mass celebrating the life of Robert "Bob" V. Brumfield, 64, of Palm Coast, will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010, 1 p.m. at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, 919 N. Central Ave., Flagler Beach, Fla.

Bob tragically passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010, in a motorcycle accident. He was born on Nov. 26, 1945, in Boston, Mass. As a young man he served in the U.S. Navy as a Radar Man. Bob's position within the hospitality industry brought travel opportunities throughout the country and the islands. He was an adventurous man who enjoyed mountain and ice climbing, sailing, scuba diving and riding motorcycles. Among Bob's extended family, "The Monster Motorcycle Crew," he was known affectionately as Uncle Bob. He was also a member of the Scurvy Few Motorcycle Club. Bob was a communicant of Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church through which he was proudly Baptized and also received Confirmation on Feb. 3, 2010. A passionate man who lived life to the fullest, he will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert V. Brumfield Sr. in 2001. Survivors include his beloved wife of 30 years Sherry; mother Marion Gomez and her husband Tony Gomez of Marstons Mills, Mass.; daughters, Rebecca Roose of Richmond, Vt.; Danielle Begne of Sebastian, Fla.; sisters, Denise Powell and Dianne Gauthier both of Marstons Mills, Mass.; brothers, Bart Brumfield of Ojai, Calif., Ronald and Brett Brumfield of Marstons Mills, Mass.; and three grandchildren, Shane, Bryce and Maddison Bergne of Sebastian, Fla. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as his constant companion his Jack Russell terrier, Robbie.
