EMMET D. FENTON (Major USAF Ret.) passed away March 10, 2010, in Bellville, Tx. Born in 1920 in Sioux City, IA., survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mary L. Fenton; daughter, Diane; son, Mark and wife Jean of Hempstead, TX. A career Air Force Pilot, he served in China during WWII and in the Korean conflict. A resident CA and FL, he lived in Irving for 37 years, where he was a business partner with A.B. Johnson, Jr. He was a member of the Distinguished Flying Cross Society, The Knights of Columbus, the Daedalians, The Holy Name Society, Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Katherine Drexel Parish in Hempstead, TX. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church, 2323 Cheyenne St., Irving, TX 75062, preceded by visitation in the Church Narthex at 12:00 Noon. Entombment will follow at Calvary Hill Mausoleum in Dallas 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX. Memorials may be made to Holy Family of Nazareth Church, K of C Council #5243, Irving, TX, or charity of choice.
