Robert married Myrtle May 30, 1907 in Bay City. They then moved to their farm in Woodland. During the 1910s Robert and Myrtle's family lived in Bay City. In 1919 they moved to Flint where he was a toolmaker in the automobile industry in the 1920s and 1930s.

Landis Robert Fulton Landis, 2517 Avenue A, age 73, died Wednesday, August 29, 1951 at Hurley Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, August 31, 1951, from Wheeler Funeral Home, Flushing, Rev. Owen Knox officiating, Burial in Woodland Cemetery, Woodland, Mich., Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Mr. Landis is at the Wheeler Funeral Home. Surviving are: Wife, Myrtle; 3 sons Robert R.., Graydon R. both of Flint, Harry W. of Salinas, Calif.; 3 daughters, Mrs. Genevieve Bray, Mrs. Betty Martin, both of Flint, Mrs. Beulah Campbell of Long Beach, Calif.; brother Benjamin Woodlawn, Mich.; sister Mrs. Mary Mead of Kalamazoo; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Norman M. Rossell.
