Al was a member of the Pineville Park Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge, and the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a past master of Solomon Lodge #221, Pineville, Abe Hinson Lodge #472, Alexandria, and the 9th Masonic District Lodge. He was past patron of H.C.&M.E. Duncan Chapter #161, Pineville, and Electra Chapter #10, Alexandria, Order of the Eastern Star. He was also an active York Rite Mason having served as Past Commander of Trinity Commandery #8, Past Illustrious Master of Summitt Council #12, and Past High Priest of Keystone Chapter #44. Other Masonic affiliations include, a member of the Shreveport Scottish Rite Bodies and Beaureguard Anderson Chapter #530, National Sojourners.
He was retired military, having served in the U.S. Navy and the Louisiana Army National Guard. He was an active Ham Radio Operator, K5HKG, for over 50 years and a member of the Amateur Radio Club of Central Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his father, William F. Pedneau, Sr. of Metairie, LA.
He is survived by his wife, Ada Loudon Pedneau; two sons, Alfred Pedneau, Jr. of Pineville and Andrew Pedneau(wife, Amy), of Jena; his daughter, Adrianne Pedneau, of Pineville; his mother, Etta Kiern Pedneau, of Cypress, Texas; brother, William Pedneau, Jr. of Baton Rouge; and one sister, Cherry Pedneau Posey of Cypress, Texas.
