Wesley Benage Jenkins
74, of Falmouth, passed away May 2, 2003 at the River Valley Nursing Home in Butler.
He was born on June 20, 1928 in Pendleton County. He was a retired farmer, milk truck driver and employee of the former IGA supermarket in Falmouth. He was a deacon and member of the Turner Ridge Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army in the Korean Conflict. He was also active in the ASC office.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Ruth Evelyn Klaber Jenkins; a son, Dennis Wayne (Kim) Jenkins of Falmouth; two daughters, Pamela Charlene (Danny) Duncan of Falmouth and Connie Rae (Wayne) Biddle, also of Falmouth; two sisters, Carletta Gallagher and Christine Lovelace, both of Falmouth; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, May 5 at Turner Ridge Baptist Church with Bro. Fred Workman officiating. Music was shared by Matthew Sorrell. The piano was played by Sandra Gabbard. Pallbearers for the service were Dennis Jenkins, Brian Jenkins, Rob Duncan, Eric Biddle, Aaron Biddle and Alex Biddle. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of Turner Ridge Baptist Church and friends, Billy King, Herbert York, Winston York, Leslie "Sonny" Bishop, Bruce Gibson and Kenneth Showalter.
Interment was in the Turner Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice of Hope in Maysville or to the Turner Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund.
