Funeral services for Leonard Essman of Tule Lake, California were held from the Ellis Funeral Home in Wellington Sunday afternoon, October 28, with Rev. A. A. Daly of the Assembly of God in chard. Mr. Essman died October 21 at Tule Lake of injuries received three days earlier in a car accident.
Mr. Essman was born at Waldron, Arkansas and a t the time of his death he was 28 years, 2 months and 24 days of age. He made his home in Wellington for 8 years, before leaving two years ago to work in defense plants in California.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Daisy Essman; three children, Leon, Joyce Lee and Nellie Bl; his mother, Mrs. Ruth Essman of Wellington; and seven brothers and sisters: Floyd Essman of Dayton, OH; Claud Essman of Bakersfield, CA; Charlie Essman of Tule Lake, CA; Miss Virgie Essman, Elbie Essman, Haskell Essman and Pfc. Glenn Essman of Wellington.
