Mrs. Sara Alice Trout, eighty-nine, widow of Frank M. Trout, died at 8 o'clock Monday morning at the home of her son, Maris R. Trout, in New Providence, of age infirmities. She was a daughter of the late William and Anna Walker Cooper, and was born in Georgetown where her father owned the woolen mill. She was a graduate of Millersville State Teachers college, and both she and her husband taught school in Chester and Lancaster counties. She was the last of seven children, and was a birthright member of the Society of Friends, but during the past few years was a member of Middle Octorara Presbyterian church. Six of twelve children survive: Mazie A., wife of Howard Ross, Downingtown; Clara M., wife of E. S. Hersh, Coatesville; W. Blanche, wife of Ross Yuninger, Camargo; G. Parke and Maris R., of New Providence; Jerre P., Bart, and thirty-two grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral will be held at 1:15 p.m., Thursday, from the home of her son, Maris, and at 2 p.m. in Georgetown M. E. church. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
