Philip Theodore (Phil) Bee died June 8, 2009. He was born May 28, 1917, in Oakland, California; earned a Bachelor of Science Degree at University of California at Berkeley and a Masters in Business Administration at Stanford University.
He is survived by Barbara Braund Bee, his wife of 19 years. On February 14, 1948, he married Joyce Barnhart. He is survived by son Ross B. Bee of Austin, Texas, and daughter Jill C. Bee of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce B. Bee and son Andrew P. Bee. Other survivors include granddaughter Michelle Bee Back of Manor, Texas, and grandson Phillip P. Bee of Rockwall, Texas and 5 great grandchildren. Phil Bee's working career included senior management positions with North American Aviation, and several C.W. Murchison family interests. He also served as director and trustee on various company boards and trusts. He actively participated in numerous Dallas area community organizations, including Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout Gold Palm, Hope Cottage, Planned Parenthood, Salesmanship Club, United Way and YMCA. The family wishes to thank Cheryl Baker, Tamera Jones-Davis, Debbie Mussett, Jo Ann James and Barbara Hamill for their loving care of Phil. Following cremation, ashes will be interred at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas. A private memorial service was held Friday June 12, 2009.
