She was born in Caro, MI, April 14, 1888, the daughter of Charles and Alice Wells. She had lived in Flushing the last 6 years coming from the Flint Township area. She married Rev. W.J. Cross, April 30, 1908 in Caro. He preceeded her in death in 1964.
She was a member of Bethel Park Church in the Woods, the W.C.T.U., the Women's Missionary Society, and her husband was a former minister and District Superintendent with the Free Methodist Church with over 44 years service.
Surviving are: (4) daughters, Mrs. Austin (Alice) Van Norwick of Swartz Creek, Mrs. Ruth Jackson of Flint, Mrs. Alden (Myrna) Fennell of California, and Mrs. Ward (Arlene) Sipes of Flushing; (4) sons, Eldon of Florida, Loyal of Arizona, Warren of Mt. Pleasant and Paul of Ypsilanti; (23) grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; (3) sisters, Mrs. Laura Legg of Ypsilanti, Mrs. Hazel Ogger of Detroit, and Mrs. William (Ruth) Johnson of Miland; several nieces and nephews.
