MRS. J. L. RUSSELL DIED AT 85; RITES TOMORROW
Mrs. Catherine Alice Russell, 85, died at 9:30 a.m. yesterday at St. Joseph Infirmary after an illness of several months. She lived at 2115 St. Louis. Mrs. Russell and her husband, Joseph L. Russell, a retired farmer, celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary last October. He is 89. Until she went to the hospital two months ago, Mrs. Russell had not been separated from her husband more than 48 hours. They came to Louisville from Marion County in 1913. A native of Washington County, Mrs. Russell was a member of the Altar Society of St. George Church and of the Legion of Mary. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. A. J. Lesousky, St. Mary's, Ky., Miss Kathleen Russell, and Mrs. A. L. Landes; two sons, Louis R. and Joseph T. Russell; 16 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow at Owen Funeral Home, 2611 Virginia, and at 9 a.m. in St. George Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
