In 1943 Judith and her family moved to Olympia. She and her husband purchased Johnson Point Resort, now known as Zittel's Marina in 1957. She enjoyed painting, ceramics, crocheting, gardening, traveling to Arizona and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Janice Kramer of Olympia; her son Michael Zittel of Olympia, eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Barbara McCaslin and her unborn daughter, and David Zittel; two grandchildren, Terrance Kramer and Brett Zittel and one great-granddaughter Julie Ann Fristoe.
A private family burial will be held on September 25, 2009 at Calvary Cemetery in Tumwater, WA.
