Born in Habersham County to the late Luther Clifton Shore and Fannie Mae Martin Shore, Mr. Shore was retired from Bassett Furniture Company, served in the United States Air Force, and was a member of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and drinking coffee at Wal Mart.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Barbara Preston Shore of Byron; children, Shirley and Jimmy Goen of Hampton, Peggy and Richard Rogers and Kimberly and Mark Walker, all of Fort Valley, and Amy and Ricky Smith of Byron; grandchildren, Steve, Cliff and wife Alisha, Amanda, Randy, Kayla, Trey, Hunter, Sarah, Cody, Shawn, Haley, Ricky and Blake; great-grandchildren, Brynnlee, Jace, Brianna and Baylee, and sisters, Edna Phillips of Alabama and Frances Murray of Toccoa.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Ann Landers Shore, grandson, Seth, brother, James Shore, and sister, Lillie Rutledge.
