Joyce was the third child of Delbert and Iva Burris. She married Dale Fergerson and had three children: Glen Dale, Brenda, and Diana. In a later marriage she had another daughter, Debbie. Joyce had five brothers and one sister. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. Joyce is buried next to her sister Oleta Fern within a few yards of where they were born and played together.
