Services for Mrs. Ruth Moore, 72, Tyler, will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009 in the chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with Rev. Sherman Mayfield officiating, burial will follow at the Whitehouse cemetery.
Mrs. Moore went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 27, 2009 in Tyler. She was born November 11, 1936 to Jack G. Rawlinson and Helen Rogers Rawlinson. She has lived in Tyler for the past 50 years and was a hairdresser. She was a member of the Lake Tyler Baptist Church and the Sharuhan Patrol.
She is preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her husband, Freddie R. Moore of Tyler; mother, Helen Rawlinson of Sulphur Springs; sons, Robert H. Mahaffey and Tommy "Rusty" Moore both of Tyler; daughter, Fredda Lynn Squiers and husband Royce "Butch" of Whitehouse; brother, Dearl Rawlinson of Hobbs, N.M.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Moore, Royce "Bubba" Squiers, Michael Strickland, Sam Evans, Kenneth Sheats, Ronnie Ruyle,
Honorary pallbearers are Polly Shiflett, Sue Scruggs, Janet Sheats, Melvin and LaJenia Ruyle, Chuck and Glenda Wilkerson, Pete and Ann Peters, Debra and Earl Chaney and a host of others and members of the Sharuhan Patrol.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
