James H. Boggs, age 83, died around midnight last night at the residence at 707 Wilmer Avnue after an illness of four days.Funeral services ar to be conducted from the Valley Grove Church in Randolph County at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning, with the Rev. A. Williamson and the Rev. Pendleton Bean officiating. Interment will be in the curch cemeter, with Usrey directing.Pallbearers will be B. F. Abbott, Jr., Harvey, Otha, Leon, Ed, and Robert Abbott.Mr. Boggs was a member of the Iduma Congregational Methodist Church in Randolph County and served as superintendent of the Sunday School there for 30 years. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mollie Dukes of Atlants, Ga., a step-son, B. F. Abbott of Anniston and a brother, Joe Boggs of Randolph.Anniston Star (Anniston, AL) - Friday, Jan 17, 1941
