Cicero Mordecai Hutchins was the son of Rev. Delos and Sally (Barnum) Hutchins. He was the husband of Frances Carter (Sawyer) Hutchins. They were married Phelps, New York April 27, 1856. Frances died October 24, 1899. Cicero was a school teacher. He taught at Geneva (2 yrs.), Canadaigua (1/2 yr.), Palmyra (12 yrs.), Baton Rouge, Louisiana (2 yrs.), Macedon (1/2 yr.), Clifton Springs (2 yrs.), Phelps (1 yr.), Walworth (1 yr.) and Penn Yan (2 yrs.)
