Was shot and killed when he tried to break up an argument between a man and a woman on Huntingdon street near Frankford. The man fled into a house there, but a crowd of spectators surrounded it and wouldn't let him leave until police arrived. He was appointed to the police department on May 31, 1906. Cause of death: "gun shot wound of neck at the hands of James Gannon."
