Hannah married Marinus "Marine" Jansen,
one of Holland's first plumbers, on 31 May 1878.
Four of their six children died very young. However, firstborn, "Jennie" Jansen Smith,
lived to be 102. The next baby died shorty after birth.
Then, in February 1886, Maatje Johanna "Maude" was almost two, and Jan "John", almost three when they both died of croup on the same day.
Four day old Baby Boy died in 1887. The sixth child, "Maude" Jansen Kooiker from whom my sons descend, died at the age of 78.
