Mary (Fuchs)Fox, born in Eden, Iowa, was the daughter of Johann Joseph (Fuchs)Fox and Sophia Langenfeld.

She married James K. Hoffman, son of Charles Hoffman and Mary Jane Baker, November 27, 1899 in Sacred Heart Church, Templeton, Carroll Co., Iowa.

Mrs. Mary Hoffman of Lostwood, passed away at 3 o'clock this morning, from rheumatism from which she had been suffering. Had she lived until next month she woul;d have been 44 years of age. Her husband died about six years ago at their former home in Iowa. Deceased was born at Templeton, Ia., and came to Lostwood five years ago. She is survived by her seven children who are Mrs. Andrew Eby of near Lostwood, and Joseph, Marguerite, Eugene, Nicholas, Marcella and Beatrice, all of the home. Funeral services will be held from the Catholic church in this city Friday morning at 8 o'clock, and the remains will be taken to her old home and birthplace at Templeton, Ia., for burial.
