Thomas Lanning, aged 75 years, died Wednesday morning at his home, 84 East Sixteenth Street, following a stroke. He was an implement salesman here the last thirty years. He came here from Drenthe, where he was born. Mr. Lanning was a member of Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church.
The deceased is survived by his wife, two sons, Nicholas L. of this city and Arthur L. of Chicago; one daughter, Mrs. Grace Botbyl of Hawthorn, New Jersey; five brothers, Henry K., of Grand Rapids, Clarence L. of Ramsey, New Jersey, Albert L., E. K., and John of Drenthe, and three sisters, Mrs. J. M. Trompon of Aurora, Colorado, Mrs. William James of New York City and Mrs. Hattie Chipperfield of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the home on East Sixteenth Street and at 1:30 at the Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church. Rev. L. Veltkamp will officiate. Burial will take place in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
